Sleepy Golden Retriever Struggling to Keep His Eyes Open During Rain Storm Is the Cutest Thing

He’s such a sleepy boy! People online couldn’t get enough of the eepiest little Golden Retriever. The sweet dog could barely keep his eyes open when his mom was trying to get him out of the car. He just wanted to nap! Sadly, it wasn’t time for Wally to get some zzzz’s just yet.

Getting your dog to leave the car can sometimes be a real chore. Especially when it’s raining! Luckily, Wally had the cutest little raincoat on to protect him from the rain. But that still didn’t stop him from being sleepy.

Come on, Wally! It’s time to come in. The Golden wasn’t willing to leave the car in the clip his mama shared. The dog was ready for the rain too. He was wearing both the cutest little raincoat and rain hat too. Sadly, not even the right outfit could persuade the Golden from getting out of the vehicle.

“You can’t fall asleep, bud,” the dog’s mama says from behind the camera. “You can’t fall asleep.”

“Another day in the life of my very furry toddler,” she joked in the caption.

People in the comments section were on Wally’s side.

“Hims needs to be carried inside like the baby hims is,” pointed out one person.

“I am Wally’s lawyer and it is mandatory that you carry him inside because he is the goodest boy. I don’t make the rules here…just enforce them,” someone else teased.

“You gotta understand that he has a very tough life and has to catch a few zzz’s whenever he can,” pointed out another person.

“There is mom’s schedule….and then there is Wally’s schedule,” one commenter joked.

How Much Sleep Do Golden Retrievers Need?

Poor Wally needs his beauty rest! Golden Retrievers need lots of sleep to be happy. On average most adult Golden Retrievers need about 12 to 14 per day. Puppies need even more sleep, some sleep up to 20 hours a day! So it makes total sense why Wally was feeling a little sleepy — he was due for a nap.
