When I was 13, I demanded to go to a goat farm for my birthday, and I still think about it all these years later. The smell was something, but snuggling baby goats and watching them play is worth it all!
Watching baby goats still makes my day. Just look at these two: they started their day with the happiest hops and the loudest tippy taps ever! If this doesn’t make you smile, I don’t know what will:
Fallen Oak Farms is probably not relaxing all the time, because no farm could ever be. However, when it’s time for baby goat tippy tap therapy, it’s like an oasis! These two were just having the most fun ever, chasing each other around.
Their names are Saphhire and Onyx: they’re sisters! The two of them just recently landed on the farm, and they’re a part of the Bamboo Garden which is adorable and sounds very relaxing! I wonder if guests can visit for some up close and personal tippy taps?

These babies were born on the farm, so when they’re not hanging out together, they’re usually hanging out with the rest of the babies and their parents. Goats don’t loke to be lonely, but apparently, they do like to wear sweaters:
I can’t. The heart sweater, the heart nose… I need twenty baby goats in my life right now. They’re just so cute!
Should You Get Baby Goats?
If you’re anything like me, you see any animal and immediately say that you need one. However, that’s no way to get a pet, and especially not a livestock pet.
Baby goats are very cute and precious, but they don’t stay little forever. Even dwarf goats like Saphhire and Onyx get to be pretty big: about 20 inches tall and anywhere from 60-100 pounds. Additionally, goats are very stubborn, and they will chew anything they can. Goats are fine pets if you:
-
Have a decent-sized yard where you can have more than one.
-
Can build a sturdy pen to house them.
-
Don’t mind a considerable smell.
Unfortunately, goats are very common pets people get as babies, only to have to rehome them when they get older. The same happens with pigs. Before you get a goat, please make sure they’re right for you. You can always visit a farm for your tippy tap fix!
