Dogs and cats have often been stereotyped as enemies in animated films and cartoons, but these fur babies frequently end up being besties. Sharing the same space and getting to know each other over time leads to a close friendship in many cases for canines and felines.

Bruce the senior Golden Retriever clearly has an unbreakable bond with Trout the cat. The two are basically inseparable and seem to have known each other forever.

In the TikTok from @seniorboybruce, the video showed a montage of the gorgeous Golden and pretty kitty that highlighted their forever friendship.

“I think Bruck and Trout were soulmates in a past life,” the onscreen text shared.

The two siblings snuggled, spooned, shared meals and treats, and barely left each other’s side throughout the post. One clip showed Bruce’s arm around Trout, and another featured Trout covering the canine in kisses. Their iron-clad connection is a heartwarming example of the love animals can share.

Previous posts revealed that Trout was smitten from the start. When Bruce joined the family in October 2024, the friendly feline instantly made Bruce feel welcome. The two have been practically joined at the hip ever since.

Bruce Was Rescued From a Puppy Mill

The social media account shared Bruce’s backstory, where his mom adopted him last year after spending her lunch break at an animal shelter.

“I learned he was rescued from a puppy mill and lived in a shed for almost 9 years,” the onscreen text read. “I promised him that his life was going to change in the best possible way.”

Bruce’s mom made it official and brought him to what would be his first real home. The precious pooch finally experienced real love, affection and the comforts of a family and began to flourish.

A post marking his one-year anniversary with his family showed several clips of Bruce enjoying the simple pleasures of life including a Pup Cup, plushie toys, running outside, a homemade cake, and lots of snuggles.

Bruce now has a whole new life and a bestie brother with Trout.
