Cats and the funny things they do are perpetually a mood. Some are always plotting something diabolical, while others have an interesting quirk, like a permanent scowl that gives them a human-like expression you can’t help but laugh at.
Merlin, the Ragdoll cat, is coming in hot with the kind of angry-looking face you won’t soon forget. It may make you smile, or it could induce nightmares, but either way, he’s one unique kitty!

Cats with a “mood” face are my favorites because usually under all that cute rage, they’re the sweetest felines around… sometimes! The adorable Ragdoll staring down Mom is what I call a 13/10, no notes. Take a look!
Sometimes I come across a kitty who is all me in fur form, and Merlin is it. The 16-second video shared by @merlinragdoll is even funnier with the zooming in for a better look at that furry face of vengeance! I swear, this is how I look every single morning.

In the caption, Mom posed the question, “I wonder what’s on Merlin’s Christmas list?” and the comments did not disappoint with the guesses. Some voted mayhem while others agreed with vengeance, and they’re all correct!
“World domination. That is all,” one person wrote. “Children’s souls, probably,” another joked. “Death, destruction, and one of those furry catnip mice,” another added.
The proud and precious Ragdoll isn’t always angry. It’s just the way his face was perfectly made. Then again, after browsing for more Merlin core, I may be wrong.
Ragdoll Cats Are Known for Their Whimsy and Charm
In Merlin’s defense, he can’t help what his face shows, and it doesn’t equate to his friendliness, or lack thereof. I have three cats—one elder Persian who also looks like she’s angry 24/7, a mid-life Ragdoll who’s an angel, and the youngest, a chaotic Tortie. They all seem to hit their respective breeds’ typical traits, but it’s even more so with my Ragdoll, Milo Ventimeowlia.
Like The Cat Fanciers’ Association describes these Ragdoll kitties, he’s a sweetheart who loves being cuddled and getting attention. He gets along with everyone in the house (except my Corgi, but that’s another story), and he’s cute as can be.
All of this is to say, Merlin’s a pretty chill dude who’s happy, so don’t let his funny face tell you otherwise!
