Meet Milkshake, a deaf dog who was adopted by James Coburn and his family. Before they rescued her, Milkshake had been a mom but was separated from her puppies. So James decided to try to find her little ones by doing a DNA test, hoping the results would match her with at least one of them.
They took a chance, and it worked! One of Milkshake’s puppies, her daughter, lived 1,400 miles away, so the two families decided to meet up and introduce the dogs. Watch as they spend the afternoon at the park playing and having fun. It’s such a sweet thing to see!
James shared a message not on TikTok, but on the same video he posted on Instagram, “Happy Thanksgiving week to everyone! As we spend this week with family, I hope this video would remind people out there that family isn’t just for human beings. I hope you will share this video today and I hope one day we find Milkshake’s other puppies and maybe some relatives of Poundcake as well! We can’t say for sure whether Milkshake knew or didn’t know, but what we can say is that they had a wonderful day together, they were extremely happy when we left, and we plan to get them together many more times, including hopefully this winter.
I understand the dogs are not people, but people need to understand that they are still souls living lives, who feel love and connection. This Thanksgiving, do something small for your furry friends; they do everything for you.”
