Are you Tank’s forever family? Meet the Marion Star’s pet of the week

Meet Tank: This week’s adoptable dog from the Marion County Dog Pound.

Tank is a two-year-old rottweiler mix who is looking for his forever home. Tank has been with the pound since August, but he’s hoping to spend the holidays with his new family.

Volunteers at the pound say Tank is “an absolute joy to be around.” While he may be shy at first, once he warms up to you, you’ll get to see him for the goofy and loving dog he really is.

Tank is a two-year-old rottweiler mix and about 65 pounds. He's looking for his forever home and is waiting at the Marion County Dog Pound.

Tank is good with dogs and kids, but is not a fan of cats.

Tank was returned from a former trial adoption due to some separation anxiety behaviors including some barking and whining. Previously, he’d been rehomed when his owner had to move, but was later found as a stray.

To meet Tank or any of the other dogs at the Marion County Dog Pound, stop by in person at 2252 Richland Road or give the pound a call at 740-386-6150. The pound is open 12-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays.
