Chocolate Lab Puppy’s Priceless Gremlin Noises Leave His Parents Breathless With Laughter

Dogs are just as unique as the people who raise them, but there’s something about the older puppy stage that turns every dog into a tiny monster. They’re at the perfect age to explore the world with their paws, nose, and mouth, and everything is just as fascinating as the last. It’s easy to see why they can be so boisterous and excitable!

Milhous, a Chocolate Lab mix puppy, is no exception, but the Gremlin-like noises he makes are truly one-of-a-kind. Luckily, his quick-thinking parents caught them on camera just in time to post them on TikTok on December 7! Naturally, he’s gone viral overnight, and no one can get enough of his contagious joy.

OMG, just listen to him! Milhous could make anyone smile with his puppy antics, even when he got himself stuck in the couch cushions. His innocent attempt at biting his toe beans went delightfully awry, but at least he got a viral video out of it!

“Strange puppy noises are my favorite phase,” commenter @rachhhhosteen admitted. It’s hard to argue with that! Cuddly newborn puppies could melt anyone’s heart, but nothing beats playing with a silly and energetic older pup.

I think this Lab puppy sounds like Donald Duck until he gets mad, but others are convinced they hear a hyena, or even a rubber chicken. Whatever you hear, there’s one thing that everyone agrees on: he doesn’t sound like a dog!

When Do Puppies Bark?

Milhous is the perfect example of the myriad of sounds that puppies can make, but when do they bark? No two dogs are on the same timeline, of course, but many sounds can coexist at once!

According to the canine experts at Purina, puppies begin barking at around 8 weeks old. It can take time for them to perfect the sound of a true bark, but they won’t shy away from using their voice to make all sorts of other sounds, too. This Lab mix’s puppy isn’t afraid to remind his parents about that!
