Sprinkles the Weiner Dog wants to wish you a happy Hanukkah. The yarmulke-wearing Dachshund is celebrating Hanukkah’s eight glorious nights by sharing social media posts each night as he poses beside his Dachshund-themed menorahs. Okay, Sprinkles doesn’t exactly blow out the candles himself. He has some help from his humans. The point is, Sprinkles is helping everyone get into the holiday spirit as he celebrates Hanukkah.
In a series of videos shared to social media, Sprinkles can be seen wearing his yarmulke and menorah-themed outfit as his family celebrates the Jewish Festival of Lights with their own lit menorahs. Sprinkles is kept safely away from the flames as he, along with his family, enjoys this sweet holiday tradition.
Viewers were quick to comment on Sprinkles’ charming holiday posts, with one commenter joking, “Fitting he’s not wearing a turtleneck.” Another added, “Happy Hanukkah, Sprinkles and family. Those menorahs are adorbs.”
“The yarmulke,” wrote another. “I can’t.”

Dachshund Celebrates Hanukkah With Family Tradition
Hanukkah 2025 began on the evening of Sunday, December 14, and ends at sundown on Monday, December 22. The eight-day holiday, known as the Festival of Lights, commemorates the second-century B.C.E. Maccabean revolt and the rededication of Jerusalem’s Temple. According to tradition, a single day’s worth of oil lasted for eight nights, giving rise to the annual celebration.
A nine-stemmed menorah, like Sprinkles’ Dachshund-themed version, is used to light candles each night, with the number of candles corresponding to the day of Hanukkah being observed.
While Sprinkles keeps his cool and calm demeanor standing near the look-alike menorah, social media followers can’t get enough of this adorable way of including a furry friend in a family celebration. Judging by Sprinkles’ comfort in his holiday attire, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
