They say dogs usually have a very short-term memory, but an impressively long-term memory for things they form emotional connections with. For Angela Amato’s Black Labrador Retriever, Bear, one particular holiday decoration holds a very special place in his heart for the sweetest reason ever.

Angela’s home is fully decorated for Christmas, but it’s his stocking in particular that has Bear’s full attention. It turns out that last year, Santa filled the stocking with his favorite chewy sticks, and now Bear is patiently waiting, hoping the holiday magic will happen again this year!

Angela swooned in the caption, “My sweet baby remembers!” Dogs never forget a good treat! We wonder how long Bear sat there looking at his stocking; we hope Santa gives him extra treats for being the goodest boy this year!
