Dad Puts GoPro on Bernese Mountain Dog and Hides and the Cutest Chaos Ensues

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like from your dog’s point of view? Bernese Mountain Dog Bunsen loves playing in the snow, and his dad decided to put his skills to the test by hiding and seeing if Bunsen could track him down. The pooch was more than up to the challenge!

Bunsen’s dad strapped a GoPro onto him so we could follow along as the dog searched through the snow for him. He hid in a frozen creek, called out for help, and then waited to see how Bunsen would respond. Watching the search unfold from Bunsen’s perspective is wild!

Bunsen’s dad called him “Bunsen the Brave and our hero!” in the video’s caption, and it probably gives him peace of mind to know that his fur baby would have his back if he ever really did need saving!

Commenters’ Reactions to Bunsen’s Chaotic Search for Dad

Viewers all enjoyed watching Bunsen’s search, and they left some very sweet comments. Like @earthwaterfireair7, who shared, “This makes me so happy, and I’m tearing up again. It just fills me with so much joy because it’s so heartwarming and beautiful. I did tracking with my Golden Retriever, and whenever she found someone, she was so joyful. I imagine Bunsen felt that way about you!”

Commenter @jennytravis12345 said, “He came to save his dad!” @nixrudic pointed out, “The way he snaps into action once he hears there’s a problem is incredible!” @bugluvs agreed, “Wow. He is totally attuned to you! Good boy!” Another commenter added, “Wow, he really got going when he heard you!!!”

@sugarplumb77 shared, “Great enrichment activity! I love playing hide-and-seek with my pets!” West Suburban Humane Society agrees that this is both a fun and stimulating activity for your dog. “Hide-and-seek requires your dog to use their brain in a way that they don’t often do. They have to think critically and also learn to use their nose. This helps tire them out on a day-to-day basis and also helps with their development as they grow.”

We can’t wait to hide and see if our dog can seek us out!
