Golden Retriever Helping Mom Move Her Storage Boxes Is So Smart

Forget movers, Duke is here! The Golden Retriever is the best at helping Mom move things around the house. In fact, the dog took it upon himself to shift one of those large plastic storage boxes from one room to another. And now he’s earned so much praise on the internet for his generous moving skills.

Duke is a pretty helpful fella. He likes to putter around the house. One way that he is a part of the team is by leading the charge in moving and organizing. He’s so good at his job!

This really is so impressive. Duke was all alone when he decided to move the box into the room he was in. Again, all by himself! That takes a lot of strength and initiative. And as the dog mom even praised, it takes a lot of spatial awareness.

The clip shows the Golden Retriever pulling the large tub towards him. He wanted to see what was inside! Maybe it was a box of treats or tennis balls. Sadly, he doesn’t have opposable thumbs so he can’t exactly open the box and check out the goods.

“What are you doing?” his mom asked with a laugh.

Adorably, it seems like the Golden wanted the box near his “nap mat” where he likes to rest. Ahhh, so he wanted a little companion to nap with! That makes so much sense.

Is this not the cutest thing? People were absolutely smitten with Duke. They were showing him so much love in the comments section.

“He’s going to drag the couch across the living room pretty soon,” joked one commenter.

“You are just meant to be his mom,” someone else praised.

“Duke needs to start a moving company,” chimed in one person.

While another person teased, “He works so hard and y’all just sit around.”

Are Golden Retrievers Strong?

It’s no small feat to move a box this big. It’s so large! Golden Retrievers are actually pretty muscular dogs that are very sturdy and solid. It makes total sense that Duke is able to move something so huge. He’s just a big, strong boy!
