Mom Gifted With Golden Retriever Puppy Gets a Bigger Surprise Than She Ever Dreamed Of

‘Tis the season for all the holiday food, fun, and family festivities! One of the best things about this time of year is watching someone’s reaction to a gift they’ve been hoping for. There’s something magical about a genuine, joy-filled surprise that makes for the best unscripted moments worth remembering.

One woman who lost her dog last year really wanted a Golden Retriever puppy. What she got instead was nothing short of a Christmas miracle, thanks to her loving family.

In a video shared by Caroline Sweeney (via @caroline.sweeney86), we get to experience the moment her mom received the answer to her prayers—but with a twist. This mom never expected what could top her brand-new puppy, Sunny, and it’s the most heartwarming moment captured on camera.

“She’s been begging for a puppy after Charlie passed last year, and my dad told her, no more dogs! He had a dream that he was walking two Goldens on the beach, and now a month later, here we are!” the caption reads.

The moment Sadie poses with her silver bow to top things off is *chef’s kiss*! The only thing better than one Golden Retriever puppy (the only acceptable answer) is TWO Golden Retriever puppies! This is such a dream come true, and I’m sure Mom’s still pinching herself over the surprise of the duo.

I’m sorry to say, there’s only one other post of the cutie-pies thus far, but it’s only a photo slideshow of the gals. I’ll be obsessively checking for any other videos so we don’t miss a moment of their new life together.

Two Dogs Are Better Than One

Sunny and Sadie remind me of another pair of littermates, @awillowbitofwinston. One of their recent clips highlights why it’s always a good idea to get that second dog, so they always have a friend, playmate, and cuddle buddy to grow up with.

It makes life so much more fun (double the trouble) to see them interact and learn from one another. Plus, they’re so “doggone” cute, how could you possibly deny these faces?!

I’m a big advocate for getting your dog a dog, even if everything’s perfect with only one fur child. They’re pack animals, so major props to Caroline’s dad for understanding the assignment and adding two new members to their family “pack!”
