Three Yorkshire Terrier siblings were the unfortunate victims of an unfortunate incident recently. Being smart and enterprising young dogs, they did the only logical thing they could, and formed a task force in order to quickly and logically figure out a way to resolve their issue.
Their issue: an errant ball that rolled under a cabinet. Stupid ball. Compounding issue: no Yorkies have arms for reaching said ball. Stupid lack of arms.
Resolution determined by the task force: one of the Yorkie siblings should shove their head in the crack at the side of the cabinet and retrieve the said stuck ball. Plan of action: all Yorkies to line up single-file and take a turn shoving head in said crack. Further compounding issues: no Yorkie siblings could squeeze their head into the crack.
After that, the task force’s plan went out the window and all sorts of rogue independent problem-solving was undertaken by the siblings, none of them being very successful, but awfully cute to watch. (Except for Bruce, who operated independently, but everyone was entertained by his very inappropriate actions.)
Viewers really loved seeing the siblings’ problem-solving skills in action. “I love this! They are on a mission working together, but they know when it’s time to call Mama!!,” replied one commenter. Another said, “I can see the calculations going on in their sweet little heads,” said another.
Many of the comments were about Bruce. Viewers were amused by his decisions when under pressure. “Bruce making lemonade from the lemons of the situation,” joked one viewer.

Unfortunately, the siblings were unable to enact a plan that solved the problem, despite undertaking several creative solutions (aside from Bruce’s crazy antics…*eye roll*.)
The ball remained under the cabinet. The task force disbanded. Eventually, an alarm was raised, and Mom came to save the day. Yay, Mom!
Yorkshire Terriers are above- average in the intelligence department, with excellent cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills, yet despite all of this, were unable to pull this caper off.

This doesn’t say anything about their ability, only that every once and again, even the most determined task force might occasionally need help from mom.
