You can take a minute to relax after another near-miss pet emergency because Walmart is coming in clutch with plenty of time to get your fur friends what they need before and after the ball drops to ring in 2026.

What Are Walmart’s New Year’s Day Hours?

Walmart will be open during its regular hours on New Year’s Day, which are typically 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., giving you plenty of time to stock up on Felix’s cat food and grab a few toys as an apology for daring to run low on their precious sustenance. (Just don’t mention that you also took time away from bringing them food to check out the holiday clearance aisles.)

If you have time on New Year’s Eve and want to avoid any unpleasantness with your cat in the new year, you can swing in during regular hours, which are typically 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for most stores. If you don’t want to brave the crowds, you can use the store’s pick-up option between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. instead.
