Goldendoodle Spots Grandma at the Airport and Loses His Cool

Little Arie, a 3-year-old Goldendoodle, absolutely adores his grandma almost as much as his pet parents. It’s clear from his reaction at their airport reunion that she is an important part of his life.

A few weeks ago, Arie took a ride with his mom to the airport, and although he likely didn’t know where he was going or why they were there, the result was definitely worth the uncertainty. In a recent TikTok video shared by @ariepup, Mom shows us the exact moment the Goldendoodle spotted his other favorite human, and it’s so precious.

The video caption reads, “When my dog spots his grandma at the airport,” with a little note telling viewers to wait for his reaction. As they stand among the travelers in baggage claim, Mom asks, “Arie, who’s that?” The sweet pup glances around for a moment or two—and then, like a true Christmas miracle, he spots his grandma.

Mom can hardly hold on to the leash as the little dog takes off running, ready for some very special grandma pets. As the Goldendoodle reaches his grandma, she bends down and rubs his head and behind his ears… she knows all the perfect spots. It’s evident from the video that she adores Arie just as much as he loves her.

How To Tell if Your Dog Loves You

According to PetMD, there are multiple ways to tell if your pup loves you. If your dog wags their tail when they see you, this is a clear sign that they’re happy you’re there with them. Watching a dog’s tail can give you clues about their comfort level in certain situations as well. A tucked tail indicates fear or stress, while an upright wagging one signals happiness.

Another clue pups give their pet parents about how much they love them is how they greet them when they arrive home. If a pooch is genuinely happy to see you, they’ll likely act as though they haven’t seen you in hours—even if it’s only been a few minutes.

This is not an exhaustive list, and there are many other ways to tell how your pup feels about you. One thing is for sure, though: Arie loves his grandma fiercely, and their reunion was heartwarming to see.
