Both of my dogs like structure and expect certain actions at specific times. My wake-up call is followed by taking them for a bathroom break then feeding them breakfast — in that order — no later than 7 AM every day. They both start clamoring for dinner 10 minutes before it’s supposed to be served. If it’s even a few seconds late, they strongly vocalize their displeasure. Needless to say, there are some aspects of their daily life that they expect to be on schedule.
Skye the Golden Retriever apparently runs a tight ship at home as well and let her mom know she was running late for her nightly bath.
In the TikTok from @lewistephanie, the gorgeous Golden stood and stared at her mom with an expectant look on her face. The video noted that Skye sticks to a very exact schedule and may have been thinking, “Um, do you know what time it is?”
“I always take a bath every night after the kids go to bed and our Golden Retriever has to keep me on a tight schedule,” the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, “I was a little late getting the the bath and she was not okay with it.”
“Is it time for bed?” her mom asked as Skye answered her with her eyes, not needing any words to express her thoughts. The canine cutie’s mom quickly got the hint. “It’s time for me to take a bath.”
Skye led her mom to the bathroom to emphasize the point that she was running late and it was time for the tub. The punctual pooch walked right to the edge of the tub, turned to face her mom and basically said “Turn on the water and get going”.
“Yes, thank you,” Skye’s mom said. “We gotta stay on schedule.”
Skye Also Sticks to Bedtime Routine
A previous post revealed that Skye is also a stickler for getting to bed on time. She stood staring at her mom, who knew exactly what the fur baby wanted. Skye rejected requests to stay up longer and silently communicated that it was time to hit the hay.

Although Skye can be a bit rigid about her routine, she runs her schedule with the best intentions and uses a very loving and adorable approach.
