Golden Retriever Puppy Playing With the Doorstop Is the Only Show We’re Watching This Year

If you’ve ever felt like there are endless TV channels but nothing’s on, this adorable video is for you, courtesy of a precious Golden Retrieverpuppy named Stitch. This gorgeous Golden is putting on quite a show with the help of a spring doorstop, and we can’t stop watching. Apologies in advance if your workday gets derailed or you forget to pick up the kids from school. Once you press play, it’s hard to look away from Stitch’s antics.

The video crossed my TikTok feed with the perfectly intentional caption, “Wat the hekk is this?” In the clip, the Golden puppy can be seen locked in a heated battle with a springy doorstop. Stitch gives it his all trying to tame the doorstop, even resorting to grabbing it with his mouth, only to discover there’s no winning against a springy opponent.

Judging by Stitch’s wagging tail, this cute little pup is having the time of his life. The doorstop, however, may have seen better days.

Why Puppies Love the Most Unexpected Toys

I’m not the only admirer taken by Stitch’s shenanigans. Social media commenters gushed about the precious pup. One commented, “Anyone who experiences a Golden pup knows love at first sight.” Another added, “This will make anyone laugh so hard.”

“So cute,” many more viewers chimed in, echoing the sentiments of countless fans.

If you thought your pup was the only dog who prefers a bouncy doorstop over the pile of dog toys you’ve gifted since day one, you’re not alone. There’s something irresistible about a springy, unexpected “toy” that offers endless entertainment and mental stimulation.

Since dogs like Golden Retrievers were originally bred with hunting and retrieving instincts, going toe to toe with a living room doorstop can help satisfy that natural urge to retrieve. Your doorstop may not stand a chance, but at least it’s a better target than your favorite pair of shoes or glasses.
