Newfoundland Boldly Refusing to Let Mom Shovel Deck Is a True Snow King

For humans, winter is one of the most wonderful times of the year for a variety of reasons. A number of our pet pals feel that way, too. A Newfoundland whom many people have discovered on TikTok is embracing the colder season. He’s more that comfortable lounging around in the snow. In fact, he refuses let his human mom disturb his private winter wonderland.

The human behind the @homerthenewf page shared a video of Homer the Newfoundland relaxing on their snow covered deck. His mom is looking to clear away some of the snow, but this Newfie isn’t having it!

This Newfie is a true snow king! In the video, you can hear the mom explain to Homer that she’s just trying to shovel the snow after a storm. But he wasn’t budging from his spot! And his mom described his mood perfectly in the post caption saying, “Leave me alone. I’m in my happy place.”

Plenty of viewers though the same thing and had some laughs in the comments. @maryjones726 joked, “He claimed that pile as his own! You cannot have it!” Honestly, it looks like Homer loves his snowy deck.

“It’s not winter without Homer in his snow bed,” @itstek90 chimed in, and it’s clear that this Newfie was right at home. @heatherfeatherwisco seemed to think that also and wrote, “He is so happy right now.”

Some of the commenters could relate to this situation. @neverbackdowncajjustice added, “Yep this is my life with my Newfoundland, and I’m especially appreciative of all the snowballs she brings in on her feet and legs, tail, belly.” Homer’s parent replied back, “So many towels [were] used today!”

Homer the Newfie Loves Snow

Newfoundlands are known for being good with cold weather, especially with their thick coats to keep them warm. This Newfie is no different. He’s been itching to be outside in the snow since the season started. Check out this video of Homer rolling around in the snow back in November.

Homer doesn’t have any problem hanging out in the snow. After all, Newfoundlands are practically born for the cold. Have fun in your snowy sanctuary, Homer!
