When most of us think about puppies, we’re probably thinking about very small dogs — after all, they are babies, aren’t they?
But if a puppy is destined to grow up to be a big dog, that doesn’t just happen overnight. They’re going to start their lives as a big puppy… and that includes the impressively huge Bouvier de Flandres puppy, a rare dog breed who is featured in the video below. Take a look:
This video shared by @huckthebouvier on TikTok shows off five month old Huck, who is now so big that he can barely fit in his mom’s arms — not that she has any complaints, of course.
“He’s growing so much, and he’s the best dog in the world,” his mom said in the video.
I know I just met Huck, but I have to agree with her on both points. How lovable is this sweet guy?!

How Big Do Bouvier de Flanders Get?
The fact that Huck is so big at just five months old definitely isn’t a fluke — when he grows up, he’s going to be a very big boy, just like other dogs who belong to his breed.
According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), a full grown Bouvier de Flandres is expected to be about 27 inches tall as a male and 26 inches tall as a female, and they will weigh about 70-110 pounds as adults.
So far, it looks like Huck is well on his way to meeting those milestones. Actually, he might even end up being a bit of an overachiever in that department!
Though these are very solid herding dogs we’re talking about, that doesn’t mean they’re not all mush on the inside. Bouvier de Flandres pups are known for being total softies, especially around their favorite humans — kids included.
If you adopt a dog of this rare breed, just know you’re getting a lot of dog in your house, but at the same time, you’re also getting a lot of love. What could be better than that?
