Adoptable Black Kitty at Cat Café Keeps Swiping Everyone’s Coffee

I’m one of those “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” people. Basically, a walking kitchen sign written in Rae Dunn font, the kind you find in the HomeGoods clearance aisle next to pumpkin-scented candles and regret.

Well, this adoptable Black Cat and I have a lot in common. She’s been caught swiping people’s coffee any chance she gets, proving that caffeine addiction truly transcends species. If I had my druthers (and yes, druthers is exactly the kind of word that would appear on my imaginary “don’t bother me” sign), I’d adopt this little caffeine bandit in a heartbeat and name her Folgers… or maybe Maxwell (last name House) if she’s feeling fancy.

This adorable kitty’s name is Darla, and @thecattitudecafe shared her on TikTok with a photo of her and a sign that reads, “This is Darla. Darla loves coffee. Darla cannot have coffee. Darla does not agree with this decision. So: We recommend that you hold tight to your coffee… or Darla will enjoy it for you.” Then, under Darla’s sweet photo, it reads, “It has been two days since I stole someone’s coffee.”

The comments on this clip are absolutely priceless. One person said, “The way it’s laminated to write her days of sobriety has me dead!” Another joked, “God forbid a girl loves a latte.” Someone else added, “Darla needs it. Look at those black circles under her eyes,” while another fan declared, “If Darla wants her coffee, she shall have her coffee.” And my personal favorite? “Just a girly and her drinks.”

Between her sass, her caffeine addiction, and her unapologetic energy, Darla, the Black Cat, might be the most relatable café regular of all time. If you’re considering bringing your own Darla home, keep reading.
