Animals can truly surprise us. When they’re caught doing something out of the ordinary, oftentimes all we can do is stop and stare at them. A group of skiers in Utah had that same reaction when they encountered a moose hitting the slopes alongside them.

Recently, @abcnews TikTok posted a video of this surprising scene. “Skiers stopped to admire a young moose galloping down the slopes at Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort,” they described in the video caption. And who could blame them? Go ahead and see for yourself why the crowd was so stunned by this sprinting moose.

Look at this moose go! As mentioned in the on-screen text, this “Moose joins skiers on Park City slopes.” It’s no wonder they were a little stunned. It isn’t an everyday thing to be skiing and have a moose running up and down the slopes.

In the clip, this moose is clearly on a mission. The moose was flying down the mountain, running and even dodging between a few humans. Thankfully, everyone made sure to give this moose space. But the question on everyone’s mind was where this moose was going.

Viewers were beside themselves trying to figure out why this moose was on the slopes. Many viewers found some humor in the situation. @deborahwwrightlkpk joked, “Moose just casually shredding the gnar at Park City Mountain Resort!” And user @dirty_hen commented on this moose’s running, adding, “‘Whoops, wrong way. My bad.’ said moose.”

Other watchers were more focused on why this moose was on the move. Some noticed that the moose looked pretty young. Commenter @nathansnipes617 wrote, “He’s just a little guy,” and @tanntannj added, “He’s just a baby! Poor thing, I hope he wasn’t scared.”
