Both Bernese Mountain Dogs and Corgis are dog breeds with endless human fans who think one or the other is the best dog of all time. The American Kennel Club lists Bernese Mountain Dogs in the Top 20 most popular breeds. Likewise, Corgis, also known as Queen Elizabeth’s favorite dogs, are very popular among dog lovers. Mix the two beloved dog breeds together, and you’re in for an equally popular, albeit rare, Bernese Mountain-Corgi.
Sully, a fluffy Bernese Mountain-Corgi whose human mom calls him a “Bernorgi,” is going viral on TikTok, with nearly 90,000 people commenting, engaging, sharing, and liking a recent video starring Sully.
“When my half Bernese Mountain Dog/half Corgi isn’t cute,” the video is captioned. In the video, Sully’s human cuddles him as a woman’s voice is heard saying, “Isn’t it amazing?” before a man’s voice responds, “Yeah, I just gotta be honest. I don’t know what the big deal is.”
“Get out,” the woman’s voice responds as Sully’s mom takes her pup off camera.
It’s an adorable and funny testament to Sully’s mom’s passion for her pooch.
Judging by the comment section on the post, Bernese Mountain-Corgis have many more passionate fans.
“As a Corgi owner who also wants a Bernese, this is my dream,” confessed one fan.
Another added, “I love Corgi mixes. They always look like a Corgi dressed up as the other breed.”
“He is the cutest puppy I have ever seen,” shared another.
While dog lovers were mostly excited by the rare breed, some commenters questioned the ethics of the dog mix.
“Please tell me this is a rescue,” shared one concerned commenter. Another added, “I hope that poor dog’s joints are okay.”
In response to the critical comments, another follower wrote, “All dogs deserve love.”

Bernese Mountain-Corgi: A Rare Dog Breed
A rare mix, Bernese Mountain-Corgis are known to have the energy of both parent breeds (that’s a lot), which means they require plenty of exercise and playtime. While not as big as a Bernese Mountain Dog or as short as a Corgi, the mix is known to shed a lot of hair, just like both parent breeds.
Weighing anywhere from 30 to 100 lbs., this mix is affectionate and bonds deeply with its entire human family. A reliable watchdog, Bernese Mountain-Corgis have a high level of prey drive, which makes them prone to chase other animals or things passing by.
Your letter carrier or Amazon driver may not be your Bernese Mountain-Corgi’s biggest fan, but these sweet pups will be the loving addition many families crave.
