German Shepherd’s Precious Pig Crush Is the Sweetest Love Story

By far, one of the best things about having the internet at our fingertips is when an unlikely pet pair teams up to spread all their glittery, sparkly joy. They may not know they’re totally different species, but it doesn’t matter because they have allll the love.

The newest terrific twosome to cross my feed happens to be a German Shepherd named Chopper and his pig sister, Tina. Their sweet bond shows that the deepest connections go far beyond what’s on the outside.

Like I said, Chopper and Tina couldn’t be cuter and should probably be on a billboard somewhere! They’re too adorable. We can all thank @pitbullmamma for sharing the unlikely duo’s private moment, because it’s a literal love story unfolding right before our eyes.

Best friends, companions, housemates, and the new iconic couple we didn’t know we needed, the German Shepherd and pig combo is something to be admired. They may not do everything together, but there’s a deep kinship with this odd couple that’s definitely envy-worthy.

Tina also has another bestie in her Pit Bull sister, Zoe! She loves her dog siblings. Although, when it’s Tina and Zoe, they get into some funny antics together. Here’s a hilarious clip of when they got caught sneaking into the neighbor’s yard when Tina was a baby piglet!

More About ‘Mini’ Pigs Like Tina

Tina is obviously a big lovebug, and though “mini” pigs don’t actually stay miniature, VCA Animal Hospitals explains domesticated pigs as pets can grow up to be social if they’ve had plenty of human contact within their first two months of life. And they much prefer seeking out contact than receiving it, despite what Tina’s caught doing with Chopper!

As incredibly smart, social animals, pigs thrive by being a part of a group, or at least having a friend, preferably another pig, unless they’re perfectly happy with their pup pals. These little cuties are trainable and need as much enrichment as a Shepherd like Chopper would need to feel their best.

Pigs aren’t the right pet for everyone, but for those who can give them the life they deserve, they’re nothing short of entertaining, affectionate, and the best dog groomer around(!)—Tina is proof!
