Get ready for a lifetime of this, Gus!
In a super-sweet TikTok clip, Gus the Golden Retriever puppy endures dozens of kisses from his pet mamma as he rests in her arms.
And while it may be a stretch to say he enjoyed this little lovefest, he barely made a fuss.
“Do you blame me, though?” his pet mamma asks in the clip.
Absolutely not!
“I mean, how could you not?” a fan responded.
Others felt little Gus could be in a spot of trouble.

Do Dogs Understand Kisses From Humans?
Dogs don’t understand kisses as a sign of affection in the human sense, but they often learn to associate the action with positive experiences like petting, treats, and gentle tones. Some dogs may actually perceive a human face getting close as threatening or overwhelming, while others may tolerate it or even enjoy it, especially if they are well-socialized pups, and the interaction is gentle. (Are you enjoying this, Gus? The jury is still out on this!)
A true sign that a dog is enjoying kisses is when they lean in, wag their tail, or look relaxed, whereas stress signals like yawning, licking their lips, or freezing indicate they may not be comfortable.

The good news for Gus’s mom is that Goldens are super social, loyal, and sweet, so barring anything crazy happening, this little fluffball will grow into a loving fella who happily gives and receives lots of love!
There’s no need to rush things, though. I’m sure Gus’s mom is enjoying every single second she can cradle this adorable fella in her arms and pepper him with kisses. And unless she hits the gym with regularity, she’s only got a few more weeks that she can keep Gus in her arms! In fact, Golden Retriever males grow to 23 to 24 inches tall and reach about 65 to 75 pounds!
Enjoy every moment, mamma! Gus is just the sweetest!
