Being in the hospital is not easy, luckily there’s one special girl there who can bring a smile to anyone’s face. A very talented mini horse named Pearl loves to pay a visit to the sick and recovering patients at Shiner’s Children’s Southern California in Pasadena, California. She likes to brighten their day with her special talent! It’s the cutest thing that people have ever seen.
This was a repeat visit for Pearl. She was back to see a favorite patient of hers at the hospital, and the mini horse greeted him with quite a show!
Whoever said that horses can’t play the piano? That’s just not true. Sure, I don’t think Taylor Swift is going to be calling Pearl up to play in her touring band, but the horse really did delight the patient she saw.

The miniature horse showed up with a keyboard that was perfectly her size. Using her teeny, tiny muzzle, she played the keyboard back and forth. She was jamming! Whoever taught her how to play must be so proud.
It looks like these two are old friends!
“After surgery and while the anesthesia is wearing off, it’s Pearl time with the family,” the video’s caption reads. “They showed us photos of Pearl from a visit four years ago. We love seeing many of the same patients over the years.”
Commenters couldn’t get enough of the mini horse.
“Do you feel better? Yay or neigh?” joked one person in the comments section.
“‘He can do different tunes.’ Are you sure?” someone else teased.
“This would instantly make me feel better,” chimed in another commenter.
While one person quipped the animal was “Just in there horsing around.”
Mini Horse Therapy
Horses have always had a therapeutic quality to them, which is probably why this program was started. Mini Therapy Horses is an organization which brings these adorable creatures to Shriner’s Children’s Southern California. They greet patients as they come out of anesthesia. They also work with patients going through rehabilitation!
So you see? There’s basically nothing that a mini horse can’t do.
