Vizsla ‘Discovers’ the Ceiling for the First Time and Can’t Quit Staring at It in Funny Video

It’s always funny when you have a pet at home, and they notice something new, even if it’s been there as long as they have. For this Vizsla named Remy, the thing he recently discovered was the ceiling, and it’s now become his obsession…even though he’s just noticed it after 2-1/2 years of living in the house!

Remy’s mom shared clips from different times she caught him checking out the ceiling. Although it does absolutely nothing, it’s clear that it has his full attention! You can check out the cute video here.

Remy’s mom shared what he was probably thinking as he stared at it in the video’s caption, “’That was definitely not there before’ – Remy”. We wonder what’s up there that’s so interesting to him. A squirrel or other pest in the attic?

Vizsla Goes Viral for Staring at the Ceiling

Everybody was entertained by the Vizsla’s fascination with the ceiling. The video has more than 4 million views and over 1,800 comments. @kenyatta0516 got more than 33,000 likes when they joked, “You obviously put it there when he wasn’t looking. LOL!”

But others thought something else might be going on. @thecanineresearchgroup got more than 5,000 likes when they said, “Sorry, but there’s something in your roof. 100%” @tressaanne agreed and got nearly 7,000 likes when she shared, “Dog trainer here — get your home inspected.”

In another video posted after this one, Remy’s mom posted a ceiling update to address everybody’s concerns. “No critters of any sort found in the attic. As of right now, Remy is just being weird.

If the behavior continues, we’ll definitely either call an exterminator out or talk to Remy’s vet!

A Remy update – he’s doing well! When he sees the light rays on the walls, he can settle if we tell him to. The behavior doesn’t interfere with his day-to-day life.

As for the CEILING stares, it’s random when it happens. And it’s just for a few seconds. Then he doesn’t react. Maybe just a squirrel he hears scurrying past on the roof?”

I guess we’ll be checking back for another update soon!
