One woman was feeling so betrayed by all their animals recently, after she caught them planning to ruin the backyard. Okay, so maybe they weren’t technically hatching a scheme together. But it sure did look like the Golden Retriever and his three cow buddies were in cahoots.
Dogs are going to dig. That’s just what they do. But it was the three cows cheering him on that had the Golden Retriever’s mama feeling suspicious.
Naughty Monty! He knew he wasn’t supposed to be digging in mom’s yard, but was going at it anyway. The Golden Retriever was definitely emboldened by the cows by his side. He just happened to start his hole right by their enclosure. A pretty strange coincidence, right?

The cows were peering over the fence like they were monitoring his work. And of course, the Golden suddenly “couldn’t hear” when his mama called for him to stop.
“I swear they’re blimin’ encouraging him!” she exclaimed in the video. “Honestly I’m sure these cows and him have chats! Fully plotting!” she added in the caption.
It’s hard to deny it. It really did look like the woman caught the animals getting up to something. Even commenters online had to agree.
“‘These are weird big dogs’ and ‘this is a weird small cow,’” wrote one person, as if reading the animals’ thoughts.
“The cows are the mastermind. He’s the pawn. He will become one of them if he completes the task. Already matchy matchy,” chimed in another commenter.
“The cows are so invested,” a third commenter wrote.
“You interrupted their meeting,” one person accused.
Can Cows and Dogs Be Friends?
It’s not everyday that you see this kind of pairing. Dogs and cows are as different as can be! But both animals are social creatures. So if you happen to be raising cows and a pupper, there is a good chance they can get along.
Cows are very affectionate animals, as are dogs. That doesn’t mean that you’ll catch the two cuddling all day long, but they can be playful, like licks (or kisses), and are down for a snuggle or two! So you see, it’s possible that they could be the best of buds.
