All dogs seem to have that one thing that they are always extremely serious about. For many of them, it’s food (and being served their meals on time, of course). For others, it’s their favorite toy. And for some dogs, it’s their bedtime — when it’s time to turn in for the evening, the routine absolutely cannot be disturbed.
The Boxer in the video below appears to fall into that “bedtime” category. It’s time for her to turn in, and that means Grandpa needs to go home. Is it just me, or is this really relatable?
This footage was shared by @princess.poppyyy on TikTok, showing exactly what happens when Grandpa is still hanging around when Poppy decides to go to bed.
He’s just kicked back on the couch, enjoying movie night, and Poppy immediately starts whining — her signal that it’s time to wrap this get together up. Mom knows exactly what she means, and no, Poppy does not care that Grandpa hasn’t finished the movie yet. It’s time to go!
When she can’t get Mom to see things her way, she goes over to Grandpa, who eventually relents and gets up to tuck her in, as per her routine. Can’t blame a gal for trying to get what she wants — especially with a face that cute.

Poppy has always taken bedtime (and anything that has do with lounging around the house in the utmost comfort, really) very seriously — it’s not just limited to times when Grandpa or other visitors are over and she’s ready to have some privacy.
Case in point: This video that shows the pup in question waiting for her mom to get the bed perfectly ready for her to dive in, just the way she likes it.
“She wanted me to pull the covers back so she could get under the blanket and be on the pillows,” her mom explained in the caption.
Poppy sounds like she’s going to explode if her mom doesn’t hurry up getting that bed ready for her. And honestly? I can’t blame her. I know how cranky I can get when I’m ready for a much needed nap!
Besides, who doesn’t love a gal who knows exactly what she wants? Poppy deserves all the cozy beds (and naps) she could ever want.
