Niall Harbison often posts updates on the many street dogs he rescues. With approximately 2 million followers on Instagram, the animal advocate has captured hearts around the world with the miracles he works through his Thailand dog rescue, Happy Doggo. Many canines he saved have gone on to their forever families.
Iris the Husky mix is one of those precious pooches who overcame horrific living conditions to finally experience love and security.
The Instagram video from @niall.harbison showed the abhorrent and inhumane environment Iris was living in for most of her life, held captive by a cruelly short chain.
“Iris was on the shortest little chain you could ever imagine with no cover from the flooding or shade from the sun,” the caption explained. “She had been used for endless puppies and that was her life.”
Harbison and his team brought the beautiful Husky mix to the health clinic at Happy Doggo. Iris was severely underweight, anemic, and infested with ticks and fleas. She received the medical care she so desperately needed, along with plenty of love and affection from the rescue staff. Soon, she began to thrive.
Iris Now Has ‘Family and Freedom’
The second half of the post revealed Iris’s blissful new life, where she happily plays on the beach with her Husky brother and enjoys the love of her forever family. The joy on her face expressed how grateful she was for her loved ones and newfound freedom.
“After building her back up to see her now with her new brother, new family and freedom on the beach with her health fully restored is the thing of absolute dreams,” the post concluded.
Iris is finally living the wonderful life she deserves.
