Growing up with a pet adds a little bit of extra magic to every childhood memory. Whether it’s kids playing outside with the neighbor’s dog or a toddler curling up for a nap with their cat, there are so many priceless ways children and animals can bond.
For one adorable baby boy and his pet rabbit, nothing is better than cuddling on the couch together. Their mom, @hannah.bawel, caught the sweet moment on camera on February 11, and no one can get enough of their precious bond. They’re besties through and through!
Could these two be any cuter? The big rabbit is so relaxed on his buddy’s lap that he’s started to fall asleep, and it’s only a matter of time before the little boy does, too. After all, it doesn’t get much cozier than cuddling with a pet!
Viewers are blown away by both the baby and his bunny friend, because they’re both so gentle and calm. @Simolc wrote, “his energy is truly warm because bunnies don’t just do this with anyone,” and thousands of other commenters agree.

They can sense this baby’s comforting energy, too! @Hannahrenej97 even said, “I can’t explain the way I feel like your baby has lived previous lives, he seems so aware.” He’s certainly conscientious of his rabbit BFF, even while listening to Mom!
Commenters have nothing but praise for the bunny, too, but it’s Mom who deserves all the credit. She raises mindful and loving babies and animals! Many children are naturally excitable and curious around pets, so it can take some time to practice handling them gently.
Rabbits and Kids
Rabbits can be sensitive, both physically and emotionally, which is why they’re not always recommended for children. As this duo proved, though, some kids and bunnies get along like two peas in a pod!
Some skeptics were concerned that the adorable rabbit in this video was nervous or shut down, but other rabbit parents put things in perspective. As @jessmarie_pa explained, “If that rabbit wanted to leave, he would have left.” Clearly, he’s exactly where he wants to be!
These adorable BFFs have only begun growing up together, and there will be so many more priceless cuddle sessions in their future. They may be close now, but their bond is only going to grow.
