There’s this TikTok from @GordiesTheBulldog that’s gone absolutely viral, and honestly? Once you watch it, you’ll get why. The caption says “I love getting these clips to show everyone just how stubborn Gordies is and will always be,” which is putting it mildly, “I present the most stubborn bulldog ever!” And wow, does Gorda deliver.

Here’s what’s happening: This gorgeous merle Bulldog has discovered snow. And she’s decided it’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to her. She’s lying on her back, completely soaked, covered in snow, and dad is trying—really, truly trying—to get her inside.

Gorda? Not interested. She’s gone full potato mode. Zero cooperation. Maximum limpness.

Dad’s carrying her, practically begging at this point: “Let’s go. It’s literally snowing out and the floor is covered in snow and you are also covered in snow and you don’t even got your jacket on.”

Gorda could not care less about any of this information.

Then dad tries negotiating. “If I let you down, will you come back inside? Cause if not, somebody might take you, somebody might steal you.”

Gorda is unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In her lane. Flourishing.

Dad keeps trying: “Alright, let’s go. Ready on three. When I let you down, you gotta get up. One, two, three.”

He puts her down. She stays down. Obviously. Didn’t even try to help herself. Gorda was living her best life.

They’re super loyal and loving, but they operate on their own schedule. English Bulldogs have this calm, chill vibe mixed with a little defiance for no reason. Training them takes patience because they like doing things their own way. Sometimes they’ll just stare at you with this exasperated look to let you know that you are welcome to keep trying but defiance is imminent.
