Australian Shepherds are some of the strangest dogs ever. For some reason, they’re truly the weirdest. They never stop moving, and they’re always coming up with something new that’ll make you raise an eyebrow. That unpredictability is a big part of the charm!
Aussie with pretty eyes outside in the summertime.
My aunt had one named Sam when I was little, and he was the best dog ever. He had his quirks, but nothing quite as weird as the Australian Shepherd from this video! When the dog sitter comes over, she’s going to have a very strange request to fulfill… And I think she might just be looking for it:
Beanoo, the Australian Shepherd, is a Canadian girl. She loves the outdoors, whether that’s hiking, swimming, or just going for a walk around the town. She loves to be out and about having fun, and that makes sense. She’s so beautiful, no way she’d want to stay cooped up inside all day. Outside is where the compliments are!
When she comes inside, though, she has a few favorite things. Number one, cuddling with Mom. Number two… biting down on a pair of tongs while she gets her belly rubbed? That’s definitely not something I’ve ever seen before, but for Beanoo, it’s a nightly occurrence.

There are a few things you should know about this, though:
-
She does not bite down on them very hard; she just holds them in her mouth.
-
They do not use those tongs for anything other than that.
In the comments, someone said, “You can’t eat at everybody’s house,” and while I firmly believe that, I also know that Beanoo’s parents have everything under control here. I’d eat with them… though I might not let them serve me a salad!
Australian Shepherds Are High-Energy Pups
The Australian Shepherd is not a good dog breed for beginners by any means. These dogs are herders, which means they’re naturally inclined to:
They’re also incredibly smart dogs, which is a pretty crazy combination. These pups require a lot of enrichment to lead happy lives. If you’re running out of enrichment ideas, maybe try tongs and a tummy rub?
