We love it when bonds form between different pet species. And while that’s not totally uncommon among dogs and cats, it’s less likely to happen between rabbits and cats. That’s why a recent TikTok video caught our attention. The video comes from user @megancottone and features a rabbit who definitely thinks she’s the same species as her cat sibling.
The video is captioned, “She’s just a bunny who thinks she’s a cat, too.” The 35-second video starts by showing the rabbit following the cat around the house, with a caption on the screen reading, “The way my bunny follows my cat around the house every day.” Then it shows some adorable clips of the bunny hopping around behind the cat as the cat moves and explores around the house. When the cat stops, the bunny stops. When the cat moves, the bunny moves.
This Is Such a Special Bond
In another clip, the cat climbs up into her cat tree. The bunny stands at the base, looking longingly up at the cat and the cat tree, trying to figure out how she, too, can join her cat sibling at the top of the cat tree. The bunny starts by jumping up on the couch next to the cat tower. Then she leans up onto the armrest of the couch, planning her next move. But, she decides it’s too risky, and wisely decides to just hang out next to the cat tower until her feline friend decides to come back down. And that’s how the video concludes.

Hundreds of thousands of people also loved and watched the video, and thousands of other users chimed in with their own comments on the cuteness. “Awww, Winifred wants in the top basket with the kitty,” commented @kat.davis.1. User @bree0xx0 had a similar comment, saying, “Aww, someone’s gotta help the bun into the cat tree.” And @Mikkomatli had a similar thought as us, commenting, “Endless cuteness right there. Both are absolutely perfection.”
