Maine Coon Cat Sits on His Throne and Rules Over the Back Yard Like a King

So, you’ve got all kinds of cats: fluffy ones, cuddly ones, talkative ones, playful ones and then you have… this cat. This cat looks like someone appointed him King of the Back Yard, crowned him, then backed away slowly before any harm came to them.

This isn’t a cat, but a force. He looks like he’d decide your fate, then demand his minions below climb up to his perch and bring him a can of cat food. That intense stare alone makes me feel like I’ve done something wrong, and I’ve never even met this cat.

My guy, Spaghetti, is working on this look, but he’s still a baby so it’s nowhere near as convincing.

He looks mad, but like you could easily distract him if you had a ball of yarn, which is totally accurate. I hope he’s able to unlock this boy’s regal “I Rule The World” look one day.

I think that constant look of disapproval is what makes a Maine Coon so appealing. We all just desperately want to win them over. And the beauty and the fur make it impossible-for some reason, people will see a cat like the one in this video and are still compelled to ask the craziest question possible: “Can I pet him?”

My reply when people ask that of me regarding Spaghetti? “How do you feel about your fingers?” or “Does the sight of blood bother you?” Some cats are just meant to be more decorative than stuffed animal surrogate.

Viewers had opinions! “I feel I have to ask him for forgiveness.I don’t know what I did wrong, but I feel the urgent need to ask him for forgiveness.” I feel that and understand.

Another commenter replied, “Take some holy water with you.” LOL. Yet another said, “I’m not sure, but I think we owe him money.” Another viewer thought of: “The Omen in cat form.”

But plenty of other viewers were willing to take the chance: “He looks like he’d take your face off if you approach too close, but I’d risk it, he’s beautiful.”

The cat would’ve probably laugh if he could read these comments. Fear is part of his brand. His image is exactly as it should be. Untouchable. All hail the King of the Back Yard!
