English Bulldog Training for the Olympics Probably Doesn’t Have a Gold Medal in His Future

Odie, the English Bulldog, may not have qualified for the 2026 Winter Olympics, but his pawrents are hard at work making sure he’ll be part of the 2028 games. His humans set up a “high jump” for him to practice jumping over, and let’s just say, he’s got a lot of training to do if he’s going to try to make the red, white, and blue team.

Odie, being the cautious boy that he is, starts his training by checking to make sure the bar he’s going to jump over is safely secured… safety first, always! He strategizes the best way to make it over the bar before finally making his move. The music in the video makes the whole scene even funnier!

The concentration on that face! Our favorite part was when he took a break to collect his thoughts and hype himself up to make that initial jump! Odie may not have a gold medal in his future, but he’s still a winner in our books!

Viewer Reactions to Odie’s First Olympic Performance

Like us, people were cracking up watching all the effort Odie put into that very well-thought-out performance. Commenter @Ryan _Schindle joked, “I see that he’s very calculated…” @The Mook86 added, “The snorts of disapproval, LOL!”

@Dixie Rose tried to keep things positive, “That’s a solid 10 performance!” @#atlanticoffroad agreed, “10/10 gold medal!” @Peter Griff added, “He’s getting first place, the only way he can lose is if somebody is bribing the judge.”

Commenter @Gorda and Peaches pointed out, “He had to do the Pythagorean theorem first to ensure he could 100% make it, LOL!”

We laughed when @Ca$h joked, “First one in, last one out, a type of grit you don’t see in players these days.”

We have a feeling that whether Odie came in first or last place, he’d have a whole lot of the internet cheering him on!
