May we have your attention, everyone! Hear ye, hear ye, as the Bard once said. We have a very important announcement to make. We must direct your attention to this precious Instagram video so that we can introduce you to the one and only Marshmallow.
Marshmallow is a bat-eared fox who currently resides at the Xtreme Exotics Wildlife Foundation in northern Florida. We will start pointing out the elephant in the room by saying that yes, Marshmallow does look like a Pokémon.
However, she is not a Pokémon. She is a ridiculously adorable fox. You could even say that she is foxy, as they said back in the groovy, far out, and funky 70s, LOL.
According to this video, Marshmallow is one of seven bat-eared foxes at the Xtreme Exotics Wildlife Foundation. She is currently six years old, and she is without a doubt one of the most adorable creatures that anyone will ever lay eyes on.
As their name belies, these creatures are known for their large, bat-like ears, which, this video notes helps them cool off in the climate of their native Africa. Because their large ears have thousands of tiny blood vessels in them, they allow bat-eared foxes to thermoregulate their bodies, staying cool in their very hot environment.

Unsurprisingly, the Internet was totally smitten with Marshmallow. Instagram user sebastien_wlr commented on this video, “Protect this species at all costs! How does something evolve to be so cute!?”
While Instagram user captain_obliviously jokingly wrote, “What kind of Pokémon is this?” And Instagram user paulszilagyi was also in a comical mood when they made their comment, “Say hi, right now! Marshmallow will hear it, wherever you are, LOL.”
Yes, Marshmallow’s Ears Really Are That Big, LOL
As this other Instagram post shows, not only are Marshmallow’s ears really that big, but she also has a friend, Flufferton. Together, the two of them act as a “home security system” for the Xtreme Exotics Wildlife Foundation.
Without a doubt, no one will set foot anywhere near their home without them hearing it, LOL. And if any intruders do break in, they will be too inundated with total cuteness overload from looking at Marshmallow and Flufferton to want to do anything other than cuddle with them.
