Most dogs are usually down for a car ride (as long as it’s not to the vet). Many know that it probably means something fun, like a trip to the park, or if nothing else, the chance to check out what’s happening in the outside world while they drive around and get a little change of scenery. And sometimes, treats like pup cups are involved.

So I can totally understand why this German Shorthaired Pointer was totally cool with joining his mom for some errands if a pup cup was promised to him… but after watching the expressions on his face in the video below, he really wasn’t expecting the drive to be quite this lively.

Dog mom Angie Bergan shared what her car ride with Hank was like when he got a front-row seat (literally) to her road rage. Of course, this isn’t actually her audio, but it does really set the scene for what must have been said in the car that day (along with a little singing along to the radio for good measure).

Seeing that look on Hank’s face is priceless. This dog is alarmed, but he’s just trying to get through it for that cup of whipped cream. I can respect that!

In the interest of being totally fair to Hank’s mom, it’s not like he’s always perfectly composed, either. In other videos, we can see when he and his brother Marley are total handfuls at home, like when Mom’s not throwing the ball quite as quickly as they want her to.

So if Angie gets a little road rage from time to time, that’s acceptable. After all, we’re all just people. Hank can be as scandalized as he wants in the car, but we know that he’s putting his mom through it at home!
