Even though there may be millions, perhaps billions, of dogs in the world, every pup is completely unique. After all, there are countless reasons to adore your dog, from their priceless snoring to their joyful greetings when you get home. It should come as no surprise that you’d never find another dog like them!
It’s safe to say that Hemlock the Dalmatian’s family will never find another dog like him, either—and not just because he’s a rare Dalmatian with brown spots! This excitable boy takes his love for food to entirely new levels, and he’s gained viral fame practically overnight thanks to the hilarious way he ‘chomps’ on his snacks. When his family shared a video of him eating a Cheez-It in late October, no one could get enough of it!
Take it from me: you’ll want to turn up the volume for this adorable clip from @tooba.and.the.spots.
What a gem! The way his little mouth moves is mesmerizing to watch, and the crunch is so satisfying to hear. No wonder people are watching this video again and again!
“That’s more chewing than my dog has done in his whole life,” joked dog mom @nyccabbie. So many pup parents can relate!

Plenty of dogs scarf down their food without as much as a chomp, but others prefer to savor the taste of every morsel they can get. Hemlock, who seems to enjoy the chewing just as much as the snack itself, found a happy medium that works perfectly for him.
As another viewer mentioned, the extra chewing can even help keep him in shape! “He burned up all the calories before he even swallowed” the Cheez-It, but that just means he’s ready for more.
Dalmatians With Brown Spots
Even though most viewers are enchanted by the way Hemlock smacks his lips and chews his snacks, plenty of others are fascinated by his gorgeous brown spots! While most Dalmatians have beautiful black spots, the American Kennel Club’s breed standard recognizes both black spots and brown (or liver) markings.
However, Dalmatian dogs can also have markings that are gray, lemon (tan), orange (light brown), or a combination of colors. Some Dalmatians even have no spots at all!
It’s easy to see why Hemlock’s stunning colors captivate viewers, but it’s also easy to see why his adorable chomps and chewing keep people watching. He’s just too cute!
