Did you know that donkeys are music lovers? Well, one donkey is. I don’t know if every donkey is listening to Taylor Swift. This sweet guy from Warren County, Tennessee does love to listen to tunes, however. He even has a special performance played for him every day! The neighbor boy is his personal musician. And a new video online shows the donkey rushing over close to hear the child play.

The donkey really does like what he’s hearing — even if it’s just scales. Every day he has a routine to hear his neighbor boy play. And it’s actually the sweetest thing.

Oh, to be a little donkey hearing live music for the first time. No wonder he’s obsessed. The donkey’s so entranced by the boy’s practice sessions. It’s good to know the little boy has an admirer!

“We live in the country. A kid down the street practices his instrument daily. He doesn’t know he has fans!” the video’s text overlay states.

The donkey really does love what he’s hearing. He even got a little closer to the fence so he could hear the music better.

It’s just so stinkin’ sweet. And people in the comments section thought so too.

“My son has been playing his accordion a lot and he noticed the mockingbird that nests by our house has been singing his songs,” one person shared.

“You should invite him over to play!” someone else suggested. “Same concept as kids reading to puppies right? I’m sure he would love an attentive audience.”

“They can’t figure out what kind of animal that is. That’s adorable. They come and listen to him play,” one person gushed.

Donkeys Are Social Creatures

Of course, this might not be surprising to anyone who’s ever had a donkey. They’re social animals! They like people and are naturally a little curious. They get along with lots of other animals (and humans!) and are pretty affectionate too.

Donkeys are actually excellent pets. And apparently, this little guy is a great appreciator of music too.
