Do you believe in love at first sight? This little girl does, but who wouldn’t fall in love with this adorable one-eared cat named Uno?
Uno has quite a following on YouTube, thanks to his parents posting clips of him and his brothers on the account @one_eared_uno, but this video of a little girl from the neighborhood falling head-over-heels for Uno just might be the heart-meltingest thing Uno has ever posted.

It takes all of two seconds for Uno and the little girl to become best friends forever.
The adorable child asks Uno’s name and hugs him very gently before announcing, “This is now my new friend.”
“He’s so cute, Mom,” the little girl keeps exclaiming in her soft baby voice. “He’s such a cutie pie.”
The little girl walks Uno a bit on the sidewalk and does her best cat impression.
“I love these whiskers, and he does this, ‘meow,'” then she pretends to lick her own arm. “That’s what cats do.”

After spending a good while walking, hugging and petting Uno so sweetly, the little girl seems a bit emotional about having to say goodbye.
“I’m sure you’ll see him again,” her mom promises.
“Yeah,” the little girl agrees hopefully. “I’m gonna get to pet him again, and give a hug again, and give a kiss again, Mom.”
What’s the Best Way To Make Friends With a New Cat?
Cats aren’t always super friendly to new people, but there are ways you can increase your chances of becoming best friends with a new feline.
It’s important to let cats make the first move. Let the cat initiate interaction, showing that you’re happy to pet them but letting them close the gap between themselves and your outstretched hand.
Let the cat sniff at your hand, just as they would another cat or a dog they’re meeting. Let your hand sit about six inches away from the cat at eye level and wait for the magic to happen.
Once the cat lets you pet them, focus on safe areas including under the chin, behind the ears and on the cheeks. These scent-sensitive spots are more likely to be accepted, and slow, gentle strokes are best. Don’t try to touch a new cat friend’s belly or tail area, as this can lead to overstimulation.
If the cat is purring, it means they want you to keep going! If the cat shows any sign of aggression or discomfort, pull back and let your new would-be friend take control of the situation once more.
This little girl seemed to instinctively know how Uno wanted to be loved, and so she was loved by Uno in return. We hope they share many a sidewalk chat in the years to come!
