You can now see the new Kudu calves at the Saint Louis Zoo

Two of the newest Saint Louis Zoo family members are now visible to the public months after they were born.

In a Facebook post, the zoo said lesser kudu calves Emmett and Mabel are now in their public habitat at Red Rocks. Emmett was born to mother Belle on Nov. 2, and Mabel was born on Feb. 2 to first-time mom Judith.

You may recognize the lesser kudu as the symbol of the Saint Louis Zoo. They are members of the Bovidae family, which also includes bison and cattle. They live in the thickets of East Africa, and their coats are marked with vertical white stripes to camouflage them in their woodland habitat.
