If you have ever been pregnant, you already know there comes a point where you are just… round. Like fully, undeniably, how am I supposed to move around like this, round.
And apparently, that experience is universal. Even for Dachshunds.
TikTok user @lauren_ry22 shared the adorable video, and it features a very pregnant Dachshund lying on her back while getting her belly rubbed.
And when I say round, I mean round.

This sweet girl is shaped exactly like a tiny bowling pin, just all belly with little legs attached, looking completely over it, but also kind of enjoying the attention.
The caption simply reads, “Preggo baby,” which feels accurate but also somehow does not fully capture the situation.
Because this is not just a pregnant dog. This is a 1% dog, 99% babies situation.
The comments were exactly what you would expect.
“She’s not pregnant. She’s pregnant AS HEL*.”
“I just know that baby is cussing when she walks.”
“I’m jealous she can comfortably lie like that.”
And of course, multiple people said it.
“She looks like a bowling pin.”
Others were just rooting for her.
“She looks so happy to be pregnant.”
“Aww, hope delivery goes fast and smooth.”
A few commenters also brought up an important point about pet overpopulation and the importance of adoption, which is always worth talking about.
Adopting from shelters is a wonderful way to give dogs in need a home, but dogs do become pregnant for a variety of reasons, and those puppies will also need loving homes. In some cases, dogs may also be part of responsible breeding programs where their health and care are closely monitored.
Either way, this little mama clearly deserves all the support and belly rubs she can get right now.

If your dog is pregnant, there are a few key ways to support her through the process and help ensure a safe delivery.
First, regular veterinary care is essential. A vet can confirm the pregnancy, monitor her health, and provide guidance on nutrition and what to expect as her due date approaches.
Creating a comfortable, quiet space for her to rest and eventually give birth is also important. Many pet parents set up a designated whelping area where she can feel safe and undisturbed.
As her pregnancy progresses, she may need more frequent meals with high-quality nutrition to support both her and her puppies. And just like any very pregnant human, she will likely appreciate a little extra patience, comfort, and yes… probably a few extra belly rubs.
Because when you are shaped like a bowling pin, you have earned them.
