Just like an eager toddler who can’t wait to visit their grandparents, Sully’s energy jumps from 0 to 100 the moment he hears their names. Mom recently took the Black Labrador to Grandma and Grandpa’s house for dinner and a night of board games. Sweet Sully didn’t realize that’s where they were headed, and he didn’t even wait for her to get out of the car before rushing toward the door.

As they walked through the garage, Mom said, “Are you not even going to wait for me?” The Black Labrador looked back at her, almost as if he knew he had to—after all, she has opposable thumbs and he needs her to open the door.

They headed into the backyard, and when Mom opened the door, she exclaimed, “Freedom!” The pup couldn’t wait to go search for his grandpa. Honestly, it’s the little hops and half gallop that show viewers just how much he loves being surrounded by his favorite people.

Sully quickly dug into his toy bucket and grabbed his dog-sized tennis ball, but then he spotted Grandpa inside and immediately forgot all about it. His only focus was the impending reunion.

Of course, the playtime that followed was exactly what the Black Labrador had been hoping for all along. Unfortunately, once playtime was over, it was time for the humans to play a game of dominoes, and Sully was less than enthusiastic about letting his grandpa join in.

Ultimately, though, he settled for Grandma’s back scratches under the table—which made him just as happy as playtime!

Several of the Black Labrador’s fans left notes in the comment section, including one fellow Labrador grandma who said, “My daughter’s Black Lab waits at the end of their driveway every afternoon for his grandpaw to swing by and pick him up for a ride to check the cows.”
