Sweet Golden Retriever Makes His Mom Pay After Leaving Him for Hours

There’s nothing more emotional than a dog when their parent leaves the house. Even if it’s just for a minute to check the mail, dogs are absolutely heartbroken when they see their humans walk out the door. I know for my nephew, nothing hearts his little heart more than seeing his favorite humans leave the house. In his case, this usually also comes with pawing at the door and maybe even leaving a few pee stains on the wall as a punishment for his parents. At the end of the day, he doesn’t like them to leave at all.

That was the case for one sweet golden retriever who endured the most unfortunate moments ever for a dog—his mom leaving him alone for a bit. While his mom reveals she didn’t leave him for as long as he may have thought, it still probably felt like a lifetime for the poor dog.

This Golden Retriever Didn’t Take His Mom’s Abandonment Lightly

True to a golden’s loyal characteristic, Reese the golden retriever showed off just how much he loves his human. Filmed by his human after they returned home, Reese was clearly feeling all of the feelings. While Reese’s human was only out for three hours, it surely felt like six years for the lovely Reese.

In a sped-up video (because we are certain this lasted hours), Reese is shown with careful zoomies all around their living room. Unsure of what to do with themselves, Reese plays one round of fetch with their human before continuing to wiggle and run around. Ending the video with a plea for belly rubs, I think it’s safe to say that Reese is happy to see their human is back. Six years or three hours, Reese doesn’t care; they just want their mom back at home.

Between wanting to play fetch or run around, Reese had no idea what to do with themselves. In the comments, one viewer jokingly commented, “Is insane dog just wanna play at the reunion.” While it’s completely true that after all of these, Reese just wants to play, I’m sure they are also just too happy to think straight. As sweet as this reunion is, I’m sure Reese’s human will think twice before leaving them again.
