There’s trail footage from near South Lake Tahoe that caught exactly that situation—a mama bear and her baby playing what looks like an actual game of hide and seek in the forest. ABC7 News Bay Area shared the video with the caption, “An adorable game of hide and seek between a mama bear and her baby was caught on a trail camera near South Lake Tahoe. The video is from late March when bear activity is at its highest for this community.”

And it’s exactly what it sounds like. Mama’s hiding and peeking around trees. Baby’s following along. They’re playing.
