These Golden Retrievers Are Pretty Much Copy and Paste in Real Life

Often, we hear people say, “Like father, like son” or “You are your mother’s daughter,” when referring to similarities between generations. It’s not every day that you hear it said about dogs, though! But once you see it, you really can’t unsee it!

In a recent TikTok video, a Golden Retriever mom shared a hilarious comparison of her two pups, and honestly, it’s nearly impossible to tell them apart. Tucker and Todd have gone viral before, and I have a feeling this time won’t be any different. As the video starts, the two boys are walking poolside with the same style and swagger—there is absolutely no denying that they are related!

Tucker is actually Todd’s dad, and although they have unique personality traits, their mannerisms, behaviors, and appearances make it obvious they’re genetically connected. Mom wrote in the caption, “All my dogs share one brain cell,” and as the Golden Retrievers lick their lips at the same time, it’s just too perfectly timed.

Another scene shows Todd and Tucker standing by the front door, their floofy tails wagging at the exact same speed as they wait. Even during nap time, they look identical, both lying on the living room floor like stretched-out frogs—it’s unmistakable that they’re connected.

Who Was the Third Dog in the Video?

By far, the most frequently asked question was about the identity of the third dog in the lip-licking scene. After digging through the comments, I was lucky enough to find Mom’s answer. She wrote, “Gator! He’s a tad younger than Tucker, but they share the same parents!”

So, it turns out it was even more of a family affair when Tucker’s younger brother joined in on the fun!

In my opinion, it’s the last scene in the clip that really seals it. The two Goldens are fighting over a toy, both gripping it evenly, their noses pressed together. It almost looks like one pup with a smooshed nose staring into a mirror. It’s in that moment you know the universe used the copy-and-paste method for these two!
