My two dogs have very different personalities but have become quite close over the years. I love seeing them interact and communicate with each other. It’s like they have their own special language — I just wish I could decipher it.
These two adorable puppies were having a bit of a chat fest. Bailey the Shar Pei-Cocker Spaniel mix pup obviously had some things she needed to share with her bestie, Ocean the French Bulldog puppy, even if her pal wasn’t in the mood for listening.
In the TikTok from @beeing.bailey, the two female fur babies were on the couch having a discussion where Bailey did most of the talking. The hybrid puppy was a chatterbox and didn’t let Ocean get a word in edgewise. The Frenchie even tried some gentle nip/kiss combos to calm her BFF, but to no avail.
“Ocean’s just trying to chill and Bailey’s in full TED talk mode,” the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, “Bailey is talking again. Making sure her thoughts are heard. Bailey’s not arguing… she’s communicating.”
Even though Bailey was showing off her gift of gab, Ocean seemed patient enough to just let her bestie ramble.
Followers got a kick out of the two girls’ gossip session and guessed at what they were discussing.
“Bailey is like: Are you not tired of me needing to tell you this over and over? If you listen to me the first time we would not be going through this!” one posted.
“Ocean’s like, geez girlfriend! Chill out! Bailey’s having none it! Giving her the whole head shake with extra sass!” another wrote.
“Typical girl talk,” someone remarked.
Shar Pei-Cocker Spaniel Mix Is Called a ‘Mini Hippo’
The unusual combo of a Shar Pei and Cocker Spaniel results in what’s known as a “Mini Hippo“. Their wrinky fur, rotund body, small ears and hippo-like snout resemble the very large mammal in smaller form.

This hybrid breed weighs between 40 and 65 pounds and grows to approximately 18 to 21 inches in height at adulthood. A Mini Hippo dog possesses a calm and loving demeanor, bringing the best qualities of both the Shar Pei and Cocker Spaniel.
If Bailey represents a typical Mini Hippo, they are probably also quite chatty.
