Dogs can be kind of demanding sometimes. It’s one of the things we most look forward to when we’re about to get one: being bossed around by an adorable, fluffy creature is so fun. Sometimes, you’re so busy, and they just decide they want to cuddle. That’s me right now!

The best for cuddling are definitely big dogs. In general, big dogs are a lot of fun, especially when they’re fluffy. It’s impossible to tell them no!
For example, when one Great Pyrenees sauntered into his favorite local CVS to ask for treats, everyone was in love. It’s almost like seeing a celebrity, or with the way he was walking, more like he’s the manager, walking in for an impromptu inspection:
Ritchie the Great Pyrenees is so goofy. If he came into CVS while I was there, I think it would make my entire month. I just love the way he walks in like everybody already knows why he’s there, because they do! Ritchie visits that CVS for his favorite employees, who give him treats.
Ritchie recently unlocked his own account with CVS’s ExtraCare rewards program… kind of. In a comment on a previous TikTok, CVS said he could have a little something special: a bag of treats! They’ll keep them behind the counter, and whenever he comes in, they have to give him one.

Ritchie might make the CVS employee in this video feel special, but it’s a little bit of an act. He has snack spots all over the city, and they’re basically all on his walking route. This boy makes sure he comes home from every walk well-fed!
Listen, it makes sense. Ritchie is a big boy! Some Great Pyrenees fearlessly guard livestock. They live outside. Others get to be hand-fed jerky while flying first class:
I can’t even handle this. I like that he was being a good boy about it, though: he didn’t want to take it until his mom said it was okay! He knows about stranger danger!
Taking Dogs Into Stores Respectfully
There are a lot of pet-friendly stores out there. There are also a lot that are technically not pet-friendly, but it really depends on who’s working that day. While you should not be taking animals into stores that aren’t pet-friendly, if you’re going to, you need to be respectful.
When you’re taking a dog into a store:
-
Make sure they’re leashed up.
-
Make sure they’re fully vaccinated.
-
Don’t let them charge at strangers or other dogs.
-
Be prepared to leave if they start act up.
Luckily, Ritchie is the most respectful boy ever. He would never do anything to make someone not want to give him treats!
