Woman Teaches Golden Retriever How to Hug and ‘Now It’s All He Does’

Is there anything better than a dog hug? We don’t really think so. I might be biased, but of all the dog hugs, the ones from the big, fluffy ones are the best. As a golden retriever lover, TikTok user @wally.meets.world is one of my favorite channels to follow on TikTok. Wally is an absolutely adorable golden retriever. And in a recently published TikTok video, Wally’s human parents taught him to give hugs, and it is so cute.

The caption on the side of the video reads, “I’m convinced a hug from this dog could cure anything.” The video opens with a clip of Wally leaning his head against his human parent’s, hugging her. The caption on the video reads, “I taught my dog how to give hugs and now it’s all he does.” And that kicks off an adorable montage of Wally giving his human parents hugs.

A Hug From Wally “Could Cure Anything”

Next, Wally is sitting on a couch with his human parent kneeling beside him. He puts his paw on her arm, leans his body up against her, and nuzzles his head up against her chest and neck. We’re seriously melting. In the following clip, they’re outside sitting on some grass. It looks like Wally is already in his human parent’s lap. But that’s not enough touching for Wally. He leans over so he can rest his neck and head against her arm, going in for another hug.

Up next, they’re outside again. And once again, Wally moves in for a hug and nuzzle, seemingly just out of nowhere and randomly. Then there are more shots of Wally and his human parent on an outdoor couch on a deck, with Wally repeatedly leaning his body and head up against hers. This goes on for a total of 35 seconds, and it’s probably the best 35 seconds we can remember spending in quite some time.

Of course, the TikTok clip is so cute, wholesome, and adorable that it earned hundreds of comments, including one from Subway’s official account. (Yes, the sub shop, Subway.) “This is precious,” @subway said. “That’s the best!!! We had a Border Collie that LOVED giving hugs too,” TikTok user @TonyaU added. “Oh, I just KNOW a hug from Wally would cure meeeee,” said TikTok user @amy. ‘I honestly don’t know how people can say they’re ‘not dog people,'” TikTok user @ellieh630 also commented. We can’t either!
