Shih-Tzu Looks Like the Tiniest Ewok After New Haircut

There are few things in the world more adorable than a dog with a fresh haircut, but there’s only one problem: Sometimes, those haircuts don’t go quite the way you planned, especially if you have a breed who typically has a certain style.

This is a lesson that was recently learned by the humans belonging to Boots the Shih-Tzu, who discovered that, after his haircut, he actually had a much tinier head than previously thought (and yes, it’s very cute).

Here, we have a post-haircut Boots, looking very different than he did before his day at the salon.

“This new haircut has revealed the tiniest head I’ve ever seen,” his human wrote in the video.

To be absolutely clear, yes, his head is small, but it’s also very cute. It doesn’t seem that Boots is very pleased with his new look, though, judging by the expression on his face. Basically, he’s turned into an Ewok from Star Wars, and while I don’t think that’s a bad thing, Boots might feel otherwise!

And if it makes him feel any better, everyone in the comments is raving about how cute he is.

“Perfect, give me 14 of them,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “I gasped at the beauty.”

That’s not to say this isn’t a big change for sweet Boots, though. From the videos that have been shared of him on his account before this, we can tell that he did look a lot fluffier before he went in for his hair appointment.

Case in point:

The fact that he belongs to a very small breed is also worth noting. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), Shih-Tzus typically top out at around 16 pounds maximum as fully grown, adult dogs, so it would be weirder if he didn’t have a tiny head under all that hair.

Tiny head or fluffy head, Boots is a very handsome dog — and the internet certainly seems to agree with me on this — so he should at least take comfort in that!
